From Fields to Changemakers: The Story of Foundation in Maharashtra Nalanda
NALANDA BAL VIKAS MAHILA VIKAS MANDAL a social organization of youths committed for the development of the society from all four corners & for promoting equality, fraternity & justice to the vulnerable groups & weaker sections of the society. It includes individuals, civil society organizations, professionals, expertise & academicians is known as a forum for voluntary organizations in Maharashtra working on the Identity and Livelihoods issues of deprived communities & specially focussing on the civil and political rights of Dalits & Tribal.
NALANDA BAL VIKAS MAHILA VIKAS MANDAL a as platform for the member organizations to work for the development of the common man has been planned. Accordingly, the action plan was developed and the implementation in the areas of civil & political rights and capacity building has been initiated since last year. We are aware of the equation that in order to expand our interventions and to take it to a higher level, we need more strength which would only come with more members and partners. With this view, we have taken a strategic decision to increase our members. I am confident that in the coming years, we will help in the formation of a platform for a State level network organization to address the burning issues of the deprived communities in Maharashtra.

Violence against women, sex determination and declining sex ratio are challenges faced in the society even today. We undertook initiatives and advocacy campaigns to sensitize the communities and collaborated with the government machineries for effective monitoring and enforcement of the acts and policies meant to address these issues. We thank all of our alliance partners and individuals who supported us in these efforts.
